Ashley Pacific Northwest completes purchase of Wilson Logistics’ western division

ARCADIA, Wisc. – Ashley Distribution Services affiliate Ashley Pacific Northwest LLC has purchased the assets of the western U.S. operations of Wilson Logistics for an undisclosed price.

The purchase included more than 440 tractors and 1,425 trailers. Currently, Ashley owned and operated transportation fleets have a combined total of more than 1,600 tractors and more than 5,000 trailers.

The company said that Ashley PNW will operate in several facilities formerly utilized by Wilson Logistics, with a team of ore than 600 associates that will now be part of Ashley’s more than 35,000 employees around the world.

“We’re very excited for the addition of the Ashley Pacific Northwest operations including the professional talent and incredible team of drivers that has been established by Darrel Wilson,” said John Leighty, executive vice president, Ashley Distribution Services. “We look forward to working with the current customers and growing the business with them along with future customers.”

In addition, Ashley PNW will operate a Commercial Driver’s License training program established by Wilson. Offered in Missoula, Mont., this program is designed for those who want to become a professional over-the-road truck driver. Ashley added that this also will be instrumental in helping to build the driver team at Ashley PNW and ADS.
