Ashley licensee 1915 South opens 41st Ashley showroom

1915 South’s newest store in Harvey, Louisiana, is the company’s 1st in the Greater New Orleans market

HARVEY, La. — Family-owned home furnishings retailer 1915 South, an Ashley licensee, recently opened its 41st Ashley showroom here. This marks the company’s ninth store in Louisiana and its first in the Greater New Orleans area. With this latest opening, 1915 South is continuing to grow its presence across the Southeast United States, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina and Virginia.

The Harvey showroom opened to the public on Sept. 11. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 9, followed by a grand-opening celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 10.

According to 1915 South, the Harvey showroom features an expansive assortment of furniture, styled room vignettes and its largest Sleep Gallery to date across its 41-store footprint. Inside the Sleep Gallery, guests will be able to explore a selection of mattresses, bases, pillows and other accessories from leading brands including Tempur-Pedic.

“With our largest Sleep Gallery to date, the Harvey showroom gives customers more opportunities to explore, compare and find the right sleep solutions for their needs,” Amanda Hall, chief commercial officer of 1915 South, said in a statement. “We’ve created a space that brings together an expansive selection, inspiring showroom experience and knowledgeable team to make shopping for both furniture and sleep easier and more personalized.”

The showroom also will offer flexible financing options, protection plans and white-glove delivery for purchases.

“Opening an Ashley store in Harvey is an important first step towards reinvestment in the Greater New Orleans market, where until now we have had only one store,” said Justin Woods, president and CEO of 1915 South, in a statement. “Southern Louisiana is an important market for us, and we are focused on having stores in the right locations to better serve customers and communities throughout the region.”
