by SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Becker Furniture in the Twin Cities and Furniture Superstore in Rochester are now Furniture Mart, completing acquisitions announced this past year.
The new name means a greater inventory and better selection of top-quality brands such as La-Z-Boy, Flexsteel, Ashley, Tempur-pedic and Beautyrest. What won’t change is the familiar faces and reputation for exceptional customer service.
“While the names are changing, the heart of what we do and the pride we take in doing it remain the same,” said Cory Price, chief executive officer of family-owned Furniture Mart USA. “Both Becker and Furniture Superstore have been rooted in Minnesota, helping people furnish the chapters of their lives. Now, together under the Furniture Mart brand, we are building on that shared legacy with new opportunities for growth, innovation and service.”
Bill Hinks, who was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, founded Furniture Mart USA in 1977 when he opened his first furniture store in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Now, with more than 60 stores across the upper Midwest, the company remains focused on its mission: “Transforming houses into homes, customers into friends and employees into family” with three generations of family employed in the company.
“This transition allows us to offer customers more: more selection, more styles and more ways to make their homes feel truly their own,” Hinks said. “It also unites us as one brand sharing the same values, customer-first mindset and commitment to quality.”
Furniture Mart USA has Minnesota store locations in Albertville, Austin, Baxter, Becker, Blaine, Burnsville, Duluth, Eagan, Elk River, Fridley, Mankato, Maple Grove, Maplewood, Marshall, Medford, Minnetonka, North Branch, Redwood Falls, Rochester, Shakopee, St. Cloud and Woodbury, as well as 36 additional locations in Iowa, Illinois, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
