HIGH POINT — The Home Furnishings Association has announced that former CEO Mark Schumacher will be the lead facilitator and emcee for its Top 100 Summit being held in September at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs.

“Mark has been instrumental in the development and growth of this incredible event and is the perfect person to facilitate this year’s summit,” the HFA said.
This follows the news earlier this month that Shannon Williams stepped down from the role as the organization’s chief executive officer. She had been in the job since June 1, 2014, following Schumacher’s departure from the HFA.
After leaving the HFA, Schumacher was named to the board of directors of lifestyle retailer Room & Board.
“I am honored to be asked to take on a pivotal role for the 2025 edition of the HFA Top 100 Summit,” Schumacher said. “Back in 2019, thanks the vision and leadership of Keith Koenig, founder of City Furniture, we created the HFA CEO Summit, now known as the HFA Top 100 Summit. While I stepped away from the HFA last year and semi-retired, the opportunity to help facilitate the 2025 Summit with Keith and the HFA team is exciting.”
