After a year’s absence, the company is coming back with several new collections that mark a return to its roots in mixed-media designs
LAS VEGAS — Case goods manufacturer Horizon Home is returning to the Las Vegas Market after a one-year absence, a move it says will help it return to its roots with looks and materials that customers have come to know the company for over many years.
The company is showing in a 10,000-square-foot space in A-754, which is about 3,000 square feet larger than its prior location.
“The time away from the market allowed us to better position ourselves for the new normal and allowed us to do some introspection on our direction moving forward,” said Felipe Orozco, vice president of sales.
“During COVID, the high demand for product from Mexico to offset Asia challenges was a major distraction for business,” he added. “And while we did participate in helping to fill the gap created by this high demand, it was a major interruption for new development in the type of looks we were largely known for. “
The mix of products it is showing at Las Vegas includes five new collections that are as follows:
+ Lakewood, a natural finish solid wood program “that has rustic roots, combined with modern design, and value price for mainstream appeal.” It has 30 pieces of bedroom, occasional, entertainment, dining and accents. An 85-inch entertainment console retails at $799.

+ Black Canyon, an upscale solid wood mixed-media collection with Mountain Retreat design elements, “targeting middle-to-upper-end consumers looking for a statement look in this genre without breaking the bank. And this will be very competitive against domestic suppliers in this field.” It has 20 pieces of bedroom, entertainment, occasional, accents and dining. A storage bed with decorative metal accents retails at $999.
+ Copper Mill is a reclaimed copper and solid wood collection with early craftsman design elements, “creating a unique new look for the industry that few can replicate. All pieces have modern functionality and provide a relaxed warm living environment.” It has eight pieces of entertainment, occasional and accents.
+ Montecito pays homage to early California hacienda architectural design elements traversing between Old Mexico, early U.S. Western and Santa Barbara hacienda looks. It also features period hardware elements, “to maintain an originality in the exterior design coupled with modern interior functionality.” It has 12 pieces of bedroom, occasional, entertainment and accents. An 82-inch travertine top entertainment console retails at $1,399.
+ Living Essentials features on-trend, value-priced veneered products targeting majors and mass merchants. “Here the focus is to incorporate elements of our manufacturing and mixed-media capabilities, to elevate everyday consoles, entertainment and accent items and providing added perceived value while maintaining an opening price point appeal.” It has 12 pieces of entertainment, curios and accents.
In addition, the company is showing some new upholstery items that it said tie in with its better selling collections and feature mixed leather elements giving them Western and mountain retreat-type looks. The mix includes sofas, bar stools and chairs. A faux leather and fabric Western frame sofa with hair on hide retails at $1,499.
The mix also includes three new onyx-lit bars. It has done some of these in the past for the custom designer market, but it now is bringing out three that retailers can show on their floors.
And it is adding 12 new occasional, dining and accent pieces to its Reclaimed Copper collection.
“The over 10,000-square-foot showroom in Las Vegas will allow us to show the product in a more open and relaxed environment, something dealers will appreciate, allowing them to better conceptualize collections and how they would translate onto their floors,” Orozco said.
