by HIGH POINT, NC – Lexington Home Brands aas named industry veteran Del Starnes as vice president and general manager of the company’s upholstery operations.
In this position, he reports to President and CEO Phil Haney and will oversee all aspects of the company’s manufacturing and distribution complex in Hildebran, North Carolina.
“Del brings us a wealth of knowledge and experience,” said Phil Haney, president and chief executive officer of Lexington Home Brands. “As President and COO of Taylor King for over 20 years, and having held executive positions at Sherrill Furniture prior to that, he has a consummate understanding of the premium upholstery category as well as extremely strong relationships with many of our key retailers. His insight and expertise will make him a tremendous addition to our senior management team.”
Starnes said he is pleased to take on this new role in the industry.
“In a sense, this feels a great deal like coming home,” he said. “My furniture career began in merchandising with HickoryCraft, and the company was acquired by Lexington when they entered the upholstery category. I have always admired their rich history, design leadership, and commitment to craftsmanship and rapid delivery.
