Units pose a tip-over and entrapment hazard if not anchored to the wall
WASHINGTON — The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of 122 farmhouse-style dressers sold exclusively on Amazon.com because of a tip-over hazard.
While no injuries have been reported, the agency said that the HallyBee Farmhouse five-drawer dressers are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall which poses serious tip-over and entrapment hazards. The CPSC said the dressers also do not meet the performance requirements of the STURDY (Stop Tip-Overs of Risky Dressers on Youth) Act.

While only related to a relatively small number of units, this is a further example of products being recalled for not meeting the requirements of STURDY.
The HallyBee Farmhouse five-drawer dressers came in two colors, a light and dark rustic oak, and are about 31 inches wide by 16 inches long by 48 inches tall.
Made in China, they were sold online at Amazon.com from September 2023 through October 2024 for about $210.
Consumers have been advised to immediately stop using the recalled units if they are not properly anchored to a wall and remove them to an area that children cannot access. They also are instructed to write the word “recalled” on the top and all sides of the dresser with a permanent marker.
They also are encouraged to contact YKHallyBee for instructions to receive a full refund and submit a photo of disposing of the product to the firm at yueke113@163.com.
For additional information, consumers can also call HallyBee collect at 973-281-2585 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, and by email at yueke113@163.com.
