Marge Carson unveils new case goods collections

Additions to wood line are the company’s 1st since the launch of its Privé collection and Loire bedroom collection last fall

CHICAGO — Luxury furniture manufacturer Marge Carson is launching three new case goods collections that encompass bedroom, dining room and living room furniture bearing some of the brand’s signature classical design elements.

They include the Vernazza occasional collection, which was inspired by architectural and design elements seen in the northwestern Italian seaside town of Vernazza; the Italian-inspired Valentino collection; and the contemporary European-influenced Inizio collection.

The Vernazza collection features cocktail tables, end tables, sofa tables and consoles, while the Valentino collection includes dining chairs, a cocktail table, a foyer table, side tables and a soon-to-be-launched bedroom collection. The Inizio collection offers bedroom pieces, including dressers, beds and various nightstand options.

These wood collections, made with alder solids, are the first the company has introduced since the launch last fall of its Privé wood and upholstery collection and its Loire bedroom collection.

The latest introductions offer a more whole home approach that the company has been known for in case goods.

“We will be introducing a comprehensive range of pieces across various categories, including bedroom, dining room and occasional furniture,” said Marge Carson President and CEO Janet Linly, who acquired the brand in October 2022. “Considered a lifestyle brand, it was essential for Marge Carson to offer a complete library of furnishings, including case goods, to our clientele. The design process began shortly after our acquisition, and our team has been diligently working on new styles and innovations since then. We are committed to continuously developing and introducing new designs for introductions regardless of the time of the year.”

Marge Carson’s Lyon credenza is not part of a specific collection but rather among the individual pieces that the company develops on an ongoing basis to complement existing collections.

“Each collection is typically comprised of approximately six to eight pieces, though this number may vary,” she added. “We continuously expand and enhance both new and established collections, reflecting Marge Carson’s enduring style and classic appeal.”

Linly noted that the collections are designed to complement its existing upholstery both in finish and other custom options. They also aim to appeal to a wide range of clients, regardless of their home’s aesthetic.

“We consistently consider our existing catalog when designing new collections to ensure cohesive styling,” she said. “Our pieces are crafted to be timeless, with distinctive finishes and customization options that highlight their uniqueness. Whether your home is an ultra-contemporary loft in Miami, a pied-a-terre in New York or a beach house in Malibu, these new collections are designed to integrate seamlessly with any environment, complementing and enhancing a variety of interior styles.”

“Our clients value quality craftsmanship, customization and sophisticated design, seeking pieces that not only serve a functional purpose, but also act as a statement of elegance and exclusivity in their homes,” she added. “They are likely well-traveled, have an appreciation for refined aesthetics and prefer a personalized design experience where they can be involved in selecting materials, finishes and details that match their unique style and lifestyle.”

As with other previous wood and upholstery collections, the new case goods are being made in the company’s Mexico production facilities that have been producing furniture for the brand over the past few decades.

Linly noted that the plant’s history of producing furniture for the brand “allows us to maintain seamless production and timely fulfillment of complete orders without delays. We take great pride in our choice of materials and the quality of our craftsmanship. Each piece, including the base frames, undergoes a rigorous, multi-step quality-control process overseen by veterans of the Marge Carson quality-control team. This dedication ensures that every component meets our exacting standards of excellence.”

Linly noted that production of the new collections has begun and customers can begin placing custom orders immediately.
