WithIt launches Internship Program Toolkit

HIGH POINT — WithIt (Women in the Home Furnishings Industry Today) has officially launched a comprehensive Internship Program Toolkit, designed to help companies across the home and furnishings industry build, structure and grow meaningful internship programs.

Available now, and completely free, on the WithIt website, the Toolkit provides step-by-step guidance for organizations that want to invest in emerging talent but may not have a formal internship framework in place.

The Toolkit, sponsored by Pinnacle Search Partners, was developed as an extension of WithIt’s recently launched Internship Initiative, a free industrywide board that connects students seeking opportunities with companies offering internships. As the initiative gained momentum, it became clear that many organizations were eager to participate but needed resources to confidently establish or expand their programs.

The result is a practical, collaborative guide compiled with input from multiple industry partners. The Internship Program Toolkit includes:

+ Guidance on structuring an internship program.

+ Sample timelines and program outlines.

+ Best practices for on-boarding and mentorship.

+ Strategies for creating meaningful intern experiences.

+ Insights on cultivating long-term industry talent.

The Toolkit is designed to support companies seeking market assistance, seasonal interns or year-round talent, while also encouraging long-term engagement and retention within the home and furnishings industry.

“WithIt’s mission has always centered around leadership development and professional growth,” said Amy Van Dorp, executive director of WithIt. “The Internship Program Toolkit represents a proactive step toward maintaining a passionate, skilled pipeline of future industry professionals.”

The Internship Program Toolkit is now available for download at https://withit.org/internship-board/.
