HICKORY, N.C. — The president of upholstery resource Olivia + Quinn said the company is ceasing operations because of a wind down of its parent company.

Company President Jared Worrall announced the turn of events in a post on his LinkedIn profile on Thursday.
“With a heavy heart, I’m sharing that Olivia & Quinn will be ceasing operations due to the wind down of our parent company,” he wrote. “While the outcome is difficult, I’m incredibly proud of what we built — O&Q was scaling well, expanding distribution, strengthening margins and gaining traction across retail, design and e-commerce channels.”
The company specialized in stationary leather upholstery including sofas, loveseats, settees, sectionals and dining chairs, as well as occasional and lounge chairs. It also sold ottomans and benches along with swivel chairs, power recliners and sleeper-sofas.
In addition to selling retailers and a growing base of interior designers, the company sold select items on an e-commerce platform on its website, www.oliviaandquinn.com.
