Description: The Manager of Store Planning role is a hybrid opportunity (2 days/ week remote) based at the company’s corporate office in Bassett, Virginia. This person will be responsible for ensuring that Bassett Home Furnishings retail stores meet the company’s merchandising, space planning and product placement standards. This position reports to the director of store planning and manages the store planning team of 2-3 coordinators. This person will ensure the style direction is maintained and executed in every store through collaborating with the in- field visual team. They will handle product ordering (furniture & accessories) to support space planning as noted above, and develop a national, visual merchandising document and standards for store the network.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Interior Design or equivalent experience
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a highly cross- functional environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in graphic programs such as In Design, Sketch-Up or similar programs
- Demonstrable strong visual skills
- Ability and willingness to travel
