Lifestyle Enterprise to launch flat-pack wood furniture line at High Point Market

Click & Build collection will offer 50-60 pieces including chests, dressers, nightstands, accent pieces and more

HIGH POINT — Full-line furniture resource Lifestyle Enterprise is entering a new category of KD-inspired flat-pack furniture this market that aims to help new and existing dealers grow their presence in the e-commerce realm.

The Click & Build collection features 50-60 pieces including chests, dressers, nightstands and accent pieces that will be shipped in flat-pack cartons. It also includes occasional tables, TV stands and even pet beds.

This chest is part of the new Click & Build line by Lifestyle Enterprise.

Available in three finishes — gray, white and brown — individual pieces in the paper laminate line are designed to be easy for consumers to assemble and are priced as much as 20% less than its fully assembled paper bedroom line. It also is UPSable, meaning it can be shipped in smaller parcels directly to the consumer’s home.

“For Lifestyle Enterprise, Click & Build is more than just a new category,” said Derrick Ng, president of the company’s case goods division. “It represents a new way for consumers to experience furniture — combining smart packaging, simple assembly and on-trend design to make creating a home faster, easier and more affordable.”

The company said the line also comes in a variety of styles ranging from casual to urban that complement the way consumers live today.

At the October High Point Market, the company will show Click & Build in a dedicated space at its new showroom at 100 E. Green Drive. The goal is to give customers a chance to see and respond to the line, while also considering ways to incorporate it onto their own e-commerce platforms.

These occasional tables also are part of the Click & Build line.

Ng said the company will gauge the response at market to determine how it further develops and expands the line.

“It is a soft launch, and if it works we will go further with it,” he said, noting the timing of the launch is good because the company expects to have strong attendance looking to see its new showroom, which it acquired earlier this past summer.

Click & Build is being produced in Malaysia by a factory that has experience manufacturing products with similar construction to big-box retailers, Ng told Home News Now.

“We have just created another business for them,” he said. “It is a win-win situation.”

In addition to being produced in larger production runs geared toward greater speed and efficiency, the product ships flat pack, meaning more items can fit on a container, thus potentially lowering freight costs.

It can be purchased in full or mixed containers, shipping within 30-45 days for full containers and within 60 days for mixed containers.
