Linon Home Decor licenses Modular Seating Solutions line

Showcased under a new brand called Kyvos, the full line of modular seating products is being shown here at High Point this week

HIGH POINT — Linon Home Décor, which recently expanded its brand portfolio with the purchase of various assets of Coast to Coast imports, has announced another expansion of its product mix.

The company said this week that it is licensing eight U.S. patents from Modular Seating Solutions, a line of upholstery that can be shipped in small parcels and assembled by the consumer in minutes without tools.

These products also fall under the company’s newest brand, Kyvos, which is the Greek word for cube. The term is a fitting description for the cubelike nature of the various seating components, which can be assembled into chairs, sofas, sectionals and other accent seating.

The company said the patents cover proprietary innovations in toolless upholstered furniture construction and quick assembly systems.

In addition to the toolless assembly, the ability to ship the product in small parcels allows consumers to move the product easily into their homes. In creating the line, Modular Seating Solutions owners Matthew Milberg and Jordan Milberg sought to address high return rates from consumers that had difficulty fitting large sofas, sectionals and other seating through doors in their homes.

Featuring both indoor and outdoor products, the line “offers a reimagined approach to modular seating,” the company said. “With intuitive toolless assembly and effortless reconfiguration, Kyvos is built for how people live today — quick to set up, easy to rearrange and simple to store. Whether furnishing a cozy living room or an outdoor gathering space, Kyvos delivers unmatched adaptability and style.”

The company said that the complete Kyvos collection, which includes the full Modular Seating Solutions line, is being shown at Linon’s showroom on the first floor of 200 S. Main St.

In addition to the licensing of the Modular Seating Solutions patents, Linon has additional brands in its portfolio, including Powell Home Fashions and Coast to Coast Imports, which also can be seen in its 200 S. Main showroom.
