Currey & Co. unveils newly reimagined showroom at High Point Market

HIGH POINT — Atlanta-based Currey & Co. has debuted its newly renovated showroom at High Point Market.

Located on the first level of the original 1920 International Home Furnishings Center on Main Street, the showroom renovation includes dramatic changes such as a relocated main entrance.

The walls, display platforms and pedestals — all painted with Benjamin Moore Simply White (OC -117) — have been added to brighten the space and create continuity with the company’s other showrooms. Italian Carrara porcelain tile floors were laid alongside the existing white tile floors for a total of 3,753 square feet.

Vintage mahogany floors have been refurbished to enhance the natural beauty of the interiors and bring sustainability to the update for a total of 7,734 square feet. In addition, walls have been removed and mirrors have been added to columns to project an openness and add clear sightlines throughout. New supplemental lighting in the showroom is LED for energy reduction and light sustainability. Air flow has been increased by moving walls and making small changes to the HVAC system. The kitchen has been moved, and a new serving bar has been created to give customers the very best Southern hospitality experience.

Behind the scenes, staff support areas have been relocated and expanded. Two art-filled conference rooms, new information and customer service counters, offices for staff and sales reps, and an artifact and one-of-a-kind storage and packing room have been built
to support Currey’s growing business.

President Brownlee Currey shared about how the new space will affect High Point business: “One would hope it would create a reason for more people to come and see us, and a more enjoyable experience while they do.”

Join Currey & Co. at High Point Market in IHFC, M110 on Main Street. The official ribbon cutting is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26.
