A visit to FME 2026

Last week, Home News Now spent a day at the Furniture Manufacturing Expo in Charlotte, North Carolina. As always, the event was a go-to resource for manufacturers looking to reconnect with suppliers of equipment, components and services and also meet new ones along the way. For two days, exhibitors welcomed buyers to their booths, both educating them about their offerings and also shoring up business opportunities for the balance of the year and beyond. Cozy Mattress showcased a number of sleeper-sofa mattresses at the FME. Here, company associates are seen speaking with industry members seeking solutions in this category.

Trivantage displayed a number of indoor and outdoor fabric yarns and cleaning solutions at the event.

Employee benefit consulting firm OMCT Solutions touted its products and services offered to the furniture and other industries at the show.

Zund brought its D3 Digital Cutting system to the event. Attendees had a chance to see the equipment up close, cutting samples based on inputs into the system.

Hot Melt Systems touted a variety of its custom manufacturing equipment including melters, hoses, guns and applicators, along with its 24-hour tech support and factory training.

Barber Manufacturing Co. displayed a number of its spring seating solutions including pocketed coils, sinuous spring and drop-in coil seating. The company, which has been in business since 1894, makes 100% of its products in Indiana.

Heico showcased a portion of its products including decorative nails, hinges, brackets, connectors and more.

Here, associates of NuTex Concepts, a converter and distributor of industrial fabrics, wovens and nonwovens, speak with industry attendees checking out some of its latest products shown on chair frames.

Visitors to the Consew booth check out some of the company’s products and services. The company, which was formed in 1898 as Consolidated Sewing Machine Co., specializes in industrial sewing machines and other products such as ironing and pressing equipment and supplies such as bobbins, needles and needle plates, scissors, thread and more.
