Greenington expands direct container program to include new bedrooms, dining sets

TUKWILA, Wash. — Sustainable furniture manufacturer Greenington Fine Bamboo Furniture has expanded its direct container program to include additional bedrooms and dining sets.

The company produces a line of wood furniture made with solid sustainable bamboo. At the Oct. 22-26 High Point Market, it is showing six new bedrooms and several new dining sets that will be part of this program.

For dealers, this means being able to buy product at more competitive price points on full and mixed containers than if they purchased them one at a time out of a domestic warehouse.

“Our Greenington container program offers our dealers the opportunity to receive product at a lower cost, especially as ocean freight rates have come down,” said Mary Settle, director of marketing.

For example, dealers who buy direct containers get about a 40% discount FOB compared to stocking dealer pricing.

The Sahara bedroom is one of six new sets Greenington is offering this market that is available in its direct container program.

With the new additions to the line, a total of 15 bedrooms and 11 dining sets are now available container direct. Many of these fall within what the company calls “City Scale” products that are smaller in scale and suitable for smaller city condos and apartments.

The new bedrooms are targeted to retail from $6,800 to $8,000 for a bed, dresser, and nightstand depending on the group, and the estimated retail pricing on the new dining tables is from $2,800 to $3,000.

“It’s been an exciting project in many ways that has spanned the past year,” said Yang Lin, owner and president. “We listened closely to direction from our current partners and other potential dealers and are coming to market with fresh and innovative designs offering generous scale without compromise.”

Yang also said, “We believe these designs will provide growth opportunity with existing dealers and create new avenues of engagement with future dealers in serving them with our mixed container program. Our plan is to continue adding highly functional yet beautiful designs with generous scale that celebrate the best of modern style and luxury.”

The company also offers other categories container direct including home office and occasional.

At Market, the line can be see at the company’s showroom in Space H-517 of the International Home Furnishings Center.
