by ENFIELD, Conn. — Planned Furniture Promotions Inc. has promoted Jamie Guyan to the role of vice president, effective immediately.
In his new position, PFP said, Guyan will continue to play a role in the company’s strategic growth and operational success, bringing “a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the furniture industry, developed over a lifetime immersed in the business.”
Having grown up working in his family’s furniture stores and home delivery service, Guyan has “cultivated a foundational knowledge of retail operations and customer service,” PFP said.
He joined PFP in 2001 and later was named national sales director. In 2023, PFP said, his expertise was instrumental in negotiating and managing the successful closing of Louis Shanks Furniture in Austin and San Antonio, Texas. Most recently, he oversaw a “record-breaking” store closing sale at the iconic Whit-Ash Furnishings in Columbia, South Carolina.
Over the years, he also has had several sales and management roles at Huffman Koos, Rhodes Furniture, Homestead House and Kornmeyer’s HomeSmart. He also has been involved in event management for larger retailers such as Rhodes, Levitz and Sofa Express and smaller independents such as Rosa’s Furniture and Michael’s Furniture Showplace. He also was vice president of sales at Premier Rugs.
He reports to Rob Rosenberg, president of PFP.
“Jamie’s proven ability to understand store owners’ needs and apply his extensive knowledge of the High-Impact Sale process has been a cornerstone of his success,” Rosenberg said. “His leadership and dedication will continue to elevate PFP’s commitment to excellence as he takes on this new role.”
