Company also will introduce a youth furniture line featuring twin and full-sized beds and companion case pieces
HGH POINT — Full-line furniture resource Bernards Inc. is launching two whole-home collections at the fall market that offer a mix of modern and casual lifestyle design elements.
Its 50-piece Calia collection has modern design elements and is part of the company’s new Apex by Bernards brand that it launched earlier this year targeting the design trade. Made with eucalyptus veneers, it features large-scale case pieces with fully finished interiors, European soft-touch self-closing drawer guides, mixed media accents and performance fabrics.
It features three beds, two dining tables, as well as home office and living room furniture including home entertainment, occasional tables and companion upholstery. Queen beds are targeted to retail from $699 to $999, and dining tables are targeted to retail from $649 to $799. Sofas featuring fully padded outside backs and arms and all hardwood frames and down pillows retail at $899.
The second offering is the 70-piece Tarrington, a casual lifestyle collection with American heritage design influences that falls under the Bernards brand. Made with American hickory veneers, it comes in two finishes, a light tone called Cashew and a warm midtone called Almond. It also has several accent pieces in a green-tone finish called Pistachio. The mix includes three beds, four dining tables and a mix of home office, home entertainment and other living room furniture including occasional tables and companion upholstery, some of which is shown in aniline leathers.
Queen beds are targeted to retail from $599 to $899, and dining tables range from $399 to $799. Fabric sofas with fully padded outside backs and arms and all hardwood frame and down pillows retail at $899. An aniline leather sofa retails at $1,999.
Each collection also offers two sofas and several upholstery accent pieces. Living room furniture, including upholstery, occasional, home entertainment and accent pieces accounts for about one-third of each collection, said Micah Swick, president.
The collections are targeted to ship in January and hit retail sometime next April.
Also, Bernards is launching a youth furniture line at market featuring twin and full-sized beds and companion case pieces. Home News Now soon will provide more details on the new youth line as part of its ongoing October High Point Market coverage.
At market, the company shows in space 201 of the Atrium at 430 S. Main St. in High Point.
