Consumer Insights Now identifies sofa, sectional buying plans in 1st half

As with previous CIN research, upholstery reins as the top area of interest for consumers. According to our study, sponsored by Synchrony, some 36% of consumers surveyed plan to buy a sofa or sectional in the first six months of the year. The numbers also showed seating was particularly popular with young consumers, with between 38% and 47% of those surveyed looking to buy in this segment. The survey also provides a window into the preferences among consumers for motion versus stationary, leather versus fabric and whether they plan to buy in-store, or online.
