Description
The Director of Purchasing & Compliance contributes to Mattress Firm’s success by leading and managing all aspects of enterprise purchase order placement and fulfillment as well as vendor compliance and accountability. This individual will ensure PO placements support product plans and merchandising strategies, manage the key communications with vendors and field operations, and ensure vendor compliance to lead times and other service level agreements.
They will provide strategic direction and leadership for all of Mattress Firm’s inventory purchasing and DC-level allocation activities to ensure alignment with sales, margin, turn, GMROI, and customer service requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Data Analytics or Business-related field and/or equivalent experience required
- Master’s Degree preferred
- 7+ Years Experience in a Supply Chain, Logistics or Analytics disciplines. required
- 7+ Years Project Management experience required
- 5+ Years Process Improvement or Lean Six Sigma experience required
- 5+ Years Experience with business intelligence and financial analysis tools require
