Nice Link launching eco-friendly collection at Showtime

ORLANDO, Fla. — Nice Link Home Furnishings, a maker of upholstery and upholstery fabric, is introducing its first sustainable fabric line as part of its four-collection debut at ITA Showtime, Nov. 14-17.

The company said its eco-friendly Nice-N-Eco collection helps reduce plastic bottle waste by using 30% recycled fibers in a “diverse line inspired by vibrant colors and natural elements of design.” The recycled fibers come from UniFi’s internationally recognized brand Repreve. The recycling process is a “chop and wash” that involves washed plastic ground into powders, melted and spun into yarns.

Nice-N-Eco features patterns inspired by nature, such as Tree Farm and Boost, and a mix of vibrant and classic colors of the sky and earth with patterns such as High Frequency, Brush Creek and Catalan. The sustainable fabric collection rounds out with matte chenille textural body cloths and soft, durable boucle with the complete range of colors.

“More people are interested in eco-conscious products, but they also want style and comfort in their home,” Nice Link President Jay Carlson said in a release. He called Nice-N-Eco “a sustainable solution that also represents the high standards for fabric design and quality that we’re known for in the industry.”

Nice Link’s other introductions are:

First Impressions, which reflects an expansion of the company’s print design collection and makes it “easy to create high-end designer looks that can be lived on along with accessible price points. From contemporary southwest to fresh watercolor prints, the newest designs in this printed fabric line adds personality to any room.”

Material Matters, which is “all about the Wow, and every home needs at least one fabric that does that,” said Stephanie Puckett, vice president of design. The assortment of patterns and colors feature lush and dramatic texture, complex design and construction, stria specialty warp, velvet-like body cloths and more. And …

Woven Tales, “a story of durability in the details,” Nice Link said. The line uses the company’s high-efficiency looms and an assortment of high tech polyester yarns to create patterns that can live up to the modern lifestyle and stand up to its demands.

Nice Link Home Furnishings is located on the 10th floor of Market Square Textile Tower. The company’s operations include 1,700 skilled employees across a 1.5-million-square-foot campus in Haining, China, home to a fabric mill with an in-house team of international designers, cut and sew fabric and leather, and 20 lines of upholstery manufacturing that serve many of the top U.S. manufacturers and retailers.
