HIGH POINT — International Society of Furniture Designers (ISFD) has extended the 2021 Pinnacle Awards competition entry deadline from August 2 to August 13, citing strong interest.
To be considered for the industry’s highest design honor designers, manufacturers or students must enter here on the ISFD website. Winners will be announced at the Pinnacle Awards Celebration on Monday, October 18. Tickets will go on sale in September.
“We have heard from several companies that they had experienced delays in getting their photography work done for their entries or that they needed more time to finish up their submissions,” John Conrad, ISFD executive director, said in a release. “Since we are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Pinnacle Awards this year we wanted to make sure that everyone had an opportunity to help make this year’s Pinnacle Awards the most successful one yet. I am also really excited to see so many home textile companies take advantage of the new opportunity to enter this year.”
The Pinnacle Awards are intended to celebrate designs that are produced mostly in larger numbers for sale to consumers. Submissions are open to all furniture and textile designers, manufacturers, and design students. The recipient of is the designer or designers who were directly involved in the “design craft” of the product or products.
In addition to home textiles, the other Pinnacle Awards entry categories are wall décor, floor coverings rugs, accessories, bedroom luxury and broad appeal, dining luxury and broad appeal, entertainment furniture, home office, leather upholstery luxury and broad appeal, maker/designer, lighting, major collections, motion upholstery, occasional storage, occasional tables luxury and broad appeal, stationary upholstery luxury and broad appeal, outdoor, youth, the green leaf award and the student Pinnacle Awards.
