In this fifth and final installment of Consumer Insights Now, sponsored by Bread Financial, we learn that 14% of high-income households earning $150,000 own a second home compared with 24% of those earning $250,000 or more. Also 95% of second home owners are 38 years or older belonging to the older millennial, GenX or baby boomer generations. Outdoor furniture and guest bedroom furniture are among the top categories they plan to buy for these properties this year, along with home office and living room furniture.
