Asia furniture show circuit starts in early March

Buyers from around the world will have many events to attend in Malaysia, India, Vietnam, Indonesia and China

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Starting in early March, buyers from around the world will be flying to Southeast Asia to visit furniture shows throughout the region. In typical fashion, these events begin shortly after the end of Chinese New Year, with celebrations running as early as Feb. 15 through March 3, with the official New Year celebration taking place today, Feb. 17.

The shows, which begin in early March, also take place in China starting around the middle to the end of March. Together, they attract visitors from around the world as buyers seek to work directly with producers in various countries to secure the best product and pricing for their customers. With tariffs still affecting prices in the U.S., many Asian manufacturers will perhaps place greater emphasis on shipments to Europe, Australia, South America and the Middle East. Still the U.S. remains perhaps the largest market, meaning business will continue to flourish despite some of the higher costs.

Below is a snapshot of some of the key events taking place on the Asia show circuit.
