HIGH POINT — To expand its coverage across various segments of the home furnishings and bedding industries, News Now Media Group has added three staff members to its editorial team.

Kathryn Greene has joined the company as retail editor. In this new position, she will cover retail for both Home News Now and Bedding News Now.
She comes to the company from the International Sleep Products Association, where she was senior editor for the past two and a half years. Before this, she was associate editor at Hospitality Design. Earlier in her career, she was senior associate for executive communications at Mercer and an associate for firmwide communications at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Julie A. Palm has been named style editor for Design News Now and Lighting News Now. In this new role, she will spotlight home furnishings design trends and new products. She’ll also highlight the product designers who create those products and the interior designers who help consumers define their own style.

“The ‘business’ of the home furnishings industry — hiring decisions, capital investments and market strategies — is vitally important, yet it’s the finishes, materials, colors and silhouettes of furniture and accessories that connect the consumer with the industry,” Palm said. “It’s not style over substance; style is substance in our industry, and it’s a part of the business I love to cover.”
Palm has previously been executive editor of Design News Now and editor-in-chief of International Sleep Products Association publications BedTimes and Sleep Savvy. She also was previously associate director of external relations–publications at Wake Forest University.

Jane Dagmi, director of High Point x Design, will be writing a bimonthly column for Design News Now starting Jan. 7, 2026. Called Field Notes, the column borrows its name from the notebooks scientists use to capture activities and observations in the field. Dagmi’s field is High Point, naturally, as well as the wider design universe, and she’ll be sharing the questions, quirks and quiet revelations she collects while moving through it.
Featuring the mundane and the magical, “Field Notes will reflect small gestures, big vision and the human tales that gives the industry its inimitable attraction,” Dagmi said.
“I’m proud to add these talented writers to our team,” said Rick Harrison, president of HCG Media, the parent company of News Now Media Group. “From the outset, we’ve promised to bring this industry the best editors and the best publications. Bringing on Kathryn and Jane, while expanding Julie’s role, is a continuation of that promise. And trust me, we’ll keep doubling down.”
