30-plus-piece collection features updated classic traditional designs and mixed-media elements such as rush seating, wood, brass and glass
MORGANTON, N.C. — At the upcoming April High Point Market, luxury furniture manufacturer Chaddock is launching its third collection with Mark D. Sikes, featuring some more than 30 pieces of furniture bearing the celebrated designer’s signature updated traditional aesthetic.
About two-thirds of the mix features wood furniture, including bedroom, dining and occasional, and the remainder is upholstery.

Developed in partnership with the Los Angeles-based designer, the collection features signature design elements that the company said blend classic traditional and modern forms, while offering visual and textural appeal through mixed-media elements such as rush seating along with wood, brass and glass accents.
Within the mix are themes that highlight signature design elements such as:
+ The Parsons collection, which includes Parsons-inspired cocktail and side tables along with dining tables of different sizes, plus game tables.
+ Fluted, which features fluted posts on bedside tables, chests and dressers bearing clean-lined and modernized forms.
+ Rush materials on the seats and backs of dining chairs, lounge chairs and occasional chairs, as well as a panel bed featuring a rush headboard and footboard.
+ Bobbin-inspired design elements seen on chair frames and on the posts of an all-wood bed in the collection.
+ A series of chairs bearing classic traditional forms that also feature swivel functionality.
+ Additions to the Acacia collection that include cocktail tables, side tables and an etagere that combine wood elements with mixed media such as brass and inset glass.

“Each piece in the collection showcases a distinct design perspective, blending classic influences with modern appeal,” the company said. “The fluted elements, inspired by neoclassical architecture, introduce refined vertical lines that exude sophistication, while the acacia pieces combine wood, brass and glass for a harmonious mix of urban glamour and timeless refinement. The woven textures of rush seating bring warmth and familiarity, while the sleek and structured Parsons designs offer understated luxury that fits seamlessly into various interiors. Bobbin details add a decorative yet restrained charm, and the swivel chairs merge classic lounge-chair appeal with effortless versatility, ensuring both comfort and elegance.”
The showroom on the first floor of 200 Steele also will highlight Sikes’ current green color theme which will be seen in a variety of medium to darker hues and applications ranging from wall coverings to fabrics.
Company CEO Andrew Crone also noted that pieces can be customized as well, including the application of its more than 70 finishes, not to mention an extensive line of leathers and fabrics.
“Any piece that doesn’t have imported mixed material, it is all going to be customizable,” Crone told Home News Now. “So if you love the dining table and want to make it wider or longer, you can do that through the (Chaddock) Workroom. And if you want to take some of the upholstery and change the seat height and depth you have the ability to customize there as well.”
Of the latest partnership with Sikes, Crone added, “He is such a well-known designer and such an incredible merchandiser. And he has just got such a devout fan base and is super talented and fun to work with.”
