HIGH POINT — The Consumer Finance Hall of Fame has chosen longtime industry executive Mark Denman as its first-ever inductee into the Consumer Finance Hall of Fame.

Denman is executive vice president of business development at Koalafi and also is a member of the company’s board of directors. He also was previously executive vice president of merchant sales and success at ChargeAfter and before this was president of Genesis Credit.
He also has held executive roles at AcceptanceNow, Rent-A-Center and TRS Inc.
The award was presented on April 23 by the Consumer Finance Hall of Fame Committee in collaboration with industry leaders and sponsors, including media sponsor Home News Now. The ceremony took place at the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame held just days before the start of the April High Point Market.
Matthew Dishman, president and chief executive officer of LendPro, launched the initiative this year “to honor the individuals whose leadership, innovation and impact have shaped the consumer finance industry.”
He created the Hall of Fame “as a way to recognize not just professional success, but the legacy of service, vision and ethical leadership that transforms both businesses and lives. His mission: to celebrate those who chose ‘legacy over logo’ and set the standard for what it truly means to lead in consumer finance.”
Induction into the Consumer Finance Hall of Fame is a lifetime achievement honor, awarded to individuals who have:
+ Made a lasting and measurable impact on the consumer finance industry.
+ Championed access, inclusion and responsible financial innovation.
+ Demonstrated visionary leadership over an extended career.
+ Built people, platforms and purpose beyond the brand they represented.
+ Elevated the standard of service to both retailers and customers, across the credit spectrum.
Of Mark Denham, Dishman said, “Over the past 32 years, this leader expanded into near-prime financing with Concora, and embraced technology with ChargeAfter, proving that the future of consumer finance is not about credit scores — it’s about believing in people. He’s championed the underserved. He’s shaped the thinking of an entire generation of executives. And he’s reminded us all that ‘Every customer deserves to buy where everyone else does.’ He didn’t just build platforms — he built leaders. He didn’t just follow trends — he created access. And in every chapter of his career, he’s put people first.”
