HIGH POINT — New is happening at the new Lineage showroom at 399 S. Main St. this market.
According to company President Chris De Lisa, buyers visiting the new 7,500-square-foot showroom will see a host of new furniture collections, including some first whole-home collections, and also will be introduced to a new upscale line of furniture being marketed under the Finn & Louise banner.
The new Finn & Louise branded goods join the well-established Sea Winds furniture and Lux Lighting brands.
De Lisa also confirmed that the company relocated its former warehouse in North Port, Florida, to a 100,000-square-foot facility in Asheboro, North Carolina, a move that will allow the company to better serve the entire U.S.
As background, De Lisa explained that Lineage Collections was formed in 1997 and developed a strong position as a supplier of casual coastal furniture that resonated with smaller master bedrooms and second bedrooms.
“The products were made in Indonesia and Vietnam and did exceptionally well all up and down the East Coast,” De Lisa explained, adding, “And while they wanted to stay in their lane, they wanted to extend their highway, and I came on board in January of this year to help them do that.”
De Lisa and his team were tasked with broadening the line, adding new looks and selling to more retailers across the country.
With more than 30 years of furniture experience with companies including Magnussen Home and Universal Furniture, along with his expertise in retail management, repping, logistics, manufacturing and sales management, De Lisa dug in and was here at premarket in a new showroom boasting 11 new collections, six of which fall under the new Finn & Louise brand.
“We have three great brands and three great stories to tell,” he said.
“Sea Winds is our casual coastal brand and offers bedroom furniture, dining furniture and occasional furniture. Lux Lighting is a line of tabletop and floor lighting that marries perfectly with both Sea Winds and Finn & Louise.
Finn & Louise is scaled a bit bigger, has a design-forward look, and can best be described as more transitional, modern and traditional. As with Sea Winds, we have bedroom, dining and occasional looks that will appeal to the entire country and not just coastal areas,” De Lisa said.
Sea Winds was always at “a better price point,” De Lisa said. “For example, beds retailing out of our warehouse have typically retailed at $1,499. But at this market, we will have some retailing at $1,299 and some at $1,699.”
Retail pricing for the somewhat larger scaled Finn & Louise will be slightly higher, with beds costing $1,699 to $1,999. “And we also believe that Finn & Louise will help put new eyes on Sea Winds, so it is a big win-win,” De Lisa said.
In terms of delivery, the new warehouse in Asheboro will enable the company to deliver in-line products in about a week’s time.
“Premarket was great. We saw more than 30 retailers, and the response was overwhelmingly positive,” De Lisa said, adding, “And we think the market will be even better.”
