Legacy Classic | Modern to debut licensed Country Living Home collection at High Point Market

60-piece collection is available in multiple finish options, offering up to 200 individual silhouettes

HIGH POINT — At the upcoming October High Point Market, full-line furniture resource Legacy Classic | Modern is unveiling its latest licensed collection in partnership with Country Living, a national lifestyle magazine that reaches an estimated audience of some 30 million readers in the U.S. through its print, online and social media platforms.

The debut 60-piece Country Living Home collection called Vintage Market offers bedroom, living room and occasional furniture with Americana and European-inspired and classic Victorian and Shaker design elements the creators say addresses “timeless home furnishings design” that represents an aspirational and relatable theme of “life in the country.”

Made with oak veneers and birch solids, pieces are available in three core finishes including Barnwood, Kettle Black and Picket Fence, along with several accent finishes including Mallard Green, Northern Moss and Spiced Apple. The company said multiple pieces also will be available in two-tone combinations, with Barnwood as the main finish and the other five as a secondary finish. Considering the number of finishes, there will be up to 200 individual silhouettes available.

There are five beds and five dining tables along with bedroom and dining storage pieces, plus a mix of occasional tables and other accent pieces. Beds start at $999 retail and dining tables start at $799.

This is the second licensed collection at Legacy Classic Modern in the past year, following the debut of its Trisha Yearwood Home collection with inline pieces shown last October and a brand-new collection launched in April.

“We believe it offers a significant value to retailers when they have the opportunity to differentiate with a national brand on their floors, helping them attract new customers and appeal to existing ones,” said Chris Pelcher, president of Legacy Classic | Modern. “Since we have a successful celebrity license with Trisha Yearwood Home, we were looking for a lifestyle license, and we kept coming back to the Country Living aesthetic and lifestyle.”

Pelcher believes the collection is timely in the sense that the marketplace and consumers are ready for “furniture that is warm, cozy, inviting and nostalgic — furniture that gives you an ‘at home’ feeling. The market is saturated with white and gray finishes, straight angles, chrome and modern, minimalist looks. We see a void for vintage, timeless, architectural traditional styles with gravitas.”

Pelcher also noted that the broad style offering gives the feeling of found pieces from antique markets like those in Brimfield, Massachusetts, or Round Top, Texas, for example.

“Vintage Market is an assortment of pieces that look collected over time and work with any of the others,” he added. “At the same time, there are suites embedded in the collection if retailers or consumers desire.”

Vintage Market will be the first of multiple themed collections the brand partners plan to launch in the coming years. For Country Living, this is an opportunity to reach existing and new fans alike with its core brand aesthetic.

“Bringing Country Living’s timeless and heartfelt style to furniture feels like a seamless growth opportunity for this brand,” said Angela Kim, senior director of licensing at parent company Hearst Magazines. “Country Living has always cherished the warmth and authenticity of a well-loved home, and this partnership with Legacy, and the products we designed together, express this spirit beautifully. Now we are delighted to offer our audience a way to furnish their homes with the same charm and comfort that has defined this brand for decades.”

At market, the collection can be seen at the company’s showroom at 2622 Uwharrie Road in High Point.
