Facility is larger than its previous operation, giving it space for Lineage and its sister companies
ASHEBORO, N.C. — Case goods resource Lineage Collections has opened a nearly 100,000-square-foot warehouse here that will give the company additional space for Lineage and its sister brands.
The company previously had a 25,000-square-foot location in North Port, Florida, for the Lineage case goods line and a 20,000-square-foot warehouse in High Point that housed product for its lighting division, Lux Lighting.
Because the new facility has higher ceilings, it gives the companies, along with sister furniture resources Finn & Louise and Sea Winds about three times the amount of space, Lineage President Chris De Lisa told Home News Now.
“Timing is everything, and given our rapid growth over the past two years — despite the industry headwinds that we have all been facing — now is the right time for us to be aggressive with our expansion plans and become a more valuable resource to our retail partners,” De Lisa added, noting that the facility began shipping product starting July 15.
The company added that with the additional space, it can maintain higher inventory levels thus ensuring product availability for its customers. In addition, it allows the companies to hold a broader range of products from its brands, including 11 new bedrooms and a mix of dining and occasional products plus 25 new lamps expected to debut at premarket in September.
Retailers also can mix each line on one truck, which the company said allows retailers the ability to hit minimum orders more quickly and also provides quicker service.
Officials believe this will help foster further expansion and name recognition in the marketplace for each of the brands.
“In a tough business environment, we have been blessed to be in a growth mode as we continue to expand our distribution with new retailers across the country that never knew who we were,” De Lisa said.
