by GREENFIELD, Wis. – To celebrate its 95th anniversary, Biltrite Furniture-Leather-Mattress, a fourth-generation, family-owned retailer based in the Milwaukee area, is hosting a Family Fun Day. On Sunday, Oct. 1, children and parents will enjoy a variety of activities, including bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals and more.
“Biltrite has been part of Milwaukee since 1928 so we wanted to say ‘thank you’ to the community for supporting us for more than nine decades. Since we’re a family business, hosting a family friendly party aligns with our brand and is a great way to express our appreciation,” says Randi Schachter, a fourth-generation family member and chief marketing officer for Biltrite. “We’re proud to call Milwaukee home and we’re dedicated to delivering affordable, quality furniture to our customers six days a week.”
In addition to the bounce houses, face painting and balloon sculptures, Biltrite’s Family Fun Day will include a DJ, oversized chess and checkers games and food trucks. To add even more excitement, Biltrite is giving away swag bags with Biltrite mugs, pens, $95 gift cards to use in 2024 and more. Biltrite will also raise funds to make a donation to Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.
For those who were hoping to do some shopping during Family Fun Day, Biltrite will maintain its long-standing “Sunday Closed to be with Family” tradition, which means the store will not be open during the celebration.
A number of Biltrite’s partners are pitching in to help sponsor the Family Fun Day, including Décor-Rest, Shifman, The Bedding Group (Therapedic), Ultra Comfort/Ultra Cozy, Gold Bond, Archbold, Mega Motion, Millcraft and several others.

This March, Biltrite received one of the industry’s most prestigious awards when it was named the 2023 Retailer of the Year (under 50 employees) by the Home Furnishings Association (HFA).
