Registration open for Feb. 29-March 2, 2024, event
MIAMI — With the goal of expanding global sourcing opportunities for retailers and suppliers around North America, a new home furnishings trade show is planned here for early next year.
The newly launched Home Deco Expo International will take place Feb. 29-March 2, 2024, at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Registration for the event has opened and the show is seeking participation from buyers looking to expand their offerings across a broad mix of residential and commercial case goods, upholstery, lighting, rugs, accessories and other décor. In addition, it will feature flooring, kitchen and bath products, and materials such as marble, tile and home textiles, show organizers said.
Held in about 250,000 square feet of space at the convention center, it will feature a wide mix of manufacturers in their respective categories in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Canada.
As the show is still recruiting manufacturers to exhibit, it was not clear exactly how many companies will be appearing at the show. However, the show website said that it plans to have about 150 exhibitors. As of this weekend, the show’s website listed about 20 companies that are planning to exhibit, although more are expected to follow.
Citing the demand the industry has identified for a more diverse global sourcing network, officials said the show is timely and unique in how it aims to serve the industry at large.
“Home Deco Expo offers clear advantages for buyers and exhibitors as there is mutual interest in forging new collaborations, discovering new products and building better ways to do business,” said Oguz Gurdamar, chief executive officer of Home Deco Expo International.
The organizers have been planning the event for months, garnering support from key industry groups such as Furniture Marketing Group and the International Home Furnishings Representatives Association. HDX also is a national sponsor of the Interior Design Society, which has more than 2,200 members who have been invited to the event as guests of HDX.
The show’s website said that other advantage for buyers include:
+ Domestic warehousing on the East Coast
+ Flexibility to buy one or multiple products and/or sets at a time through mixed container logistics
+ Direct delivery to the retailer or the consumer, including white glove delivery services
+ The show also will feature networking events and seminars addressing timely subjects of interest to buyers
The show chose Miami as it offers the following benefits and/or amenities:
+ A central location between major markets along the East Coast and Central and South America
+ Easy access for domestic and international visitors
+ Best-in-class hotels, restaurants, shopping and entertainment
+ State-of-the-art exhibition and gathering space at the Miami Convention Center
