HIGH POINT, N.C. — OCTOBER 5, 2021 — Alden Parkes, popularly recognized by High Point Market goers for “Showhouse in a Showroom”, will build upon their showroom experience by introducing a new showroom design as well as a new lineup of programming during October’s High Point Market.
The Alden Parkes showroom, located at 200 N. Hamilton St. – S Ct 110 – Floor 1, will showcase their fine furnishings in a unique way that resembles a high-end art or fashion exhibit — amplifying the inherent quality and detail-work within the upholstery and casegood pieces. Designed by Kurt Jacob Miller, the showroom’s design plans include chair frames displayed on walls, and even round tabletops shown as wall art.
“Having been familiar with the Alden Parkes brand and showroom layout, I felt confident that I could take the showroom’s design to the next level by implementing a museum-like display that enhances the unique details of each piece,” says Miller.
To complement the showroom’s new look, Alden Parkes will also be hosting a “Cocktails and Interiors” event during Hamilton Wrenn District’s Second Night Celebration, in which Rydhima Brar of R/terior Studio will craft three luxury cocktails that reflect Alden Parkes’ collections: Modern Glamour, Tradition Redefined, and Casual Living. Visitors will sip and learn about each collection on Sunday, October 17th from 4 – 7 PM.
“This Market, we are looking forward to using creative methods to celebrate Alden Parkes’ upholstery and casegood lines. I am thrilled to expand upon the showroom presence we have built over the last couple of years, and I believe the showroom design refresh and Ryhdima’s passion for connecting cocktails and interiors will provide visitors with an unforgettable experience,” says Lynne McArdle, President of Alden Parkes.
