RANCHO DOMINGUEZ, Calif. — Diamond Mattress is introducing mattresses and pillows at the upcoming Las Vegas Market that represent firsts for the California-based company.
Ethos, its first natural and eco-friendly mattress collection, is designed to meet growing consumer demand for a healthy home and environmentally conscious products, it said. The two-bed program features a patented nested coil and zoned support system, latex, GOTS-certified Joma wool and an organic cotton fabric cover. The retail price for a queen ranges from $1,499-$1,999, mattress only, and is offered in three profiles.
The company also is debuting its first complete pillow program with three distinct merchandising options: Easy, Cooling and Organic. Each adjustable pillow is made in the USA and contains CertiPUR-US shredded foam fill that can be removed or added for customized comfort. The Cooling option offers a cooling technology fabric cover, and the Organic has a GOTS-certified organic cotton cover. The pillows can be roll-packed and compressed with the company’s bed-in-a-box mattresses.
“We’re always striving to innovate with new products and merchandising strategy because retailers look to us to keep the momentum going and to help them drive traffic and grow sales,” Patrick Wolf, Diamond’s vice president of sales and education, said in a release. “It’s symbiotic and it’s what makes partnerships successful.”
Last month, the company announced its first luxury collection Generations, which it describes as “an heirloom quality and style mattress that embodies the history and heritage” of the fourth-generation family-owned business. It sets a new price point for the company with high-end components including latex, GOTS-certified wool, over 2,000 coils and micro coils, Tencel fabric cover and artisan’s button-tufted finish.
Both Ethos and Generations are made in the USA, certified by CertiPUR-US, EcoInstitut and Oeko-Tex, shippable nationwide, and come with a 20-year warranty. Some models in each collection are available as bed-in-a-box.
Wolf said Diamond’s years of experience and consumer testing with different materials under compression give it an advantage in this BIB category. “Our goal was to have a premium product pop out of a box and stand up to any traditional mattress on the floor in regard to tailoring, comfort and value. Mission accomplished,” he said.
The company will open its Las Vegas showroom at B-950, April 11-14.
