Online mattress seller GhostBed introducing first wholesale line for brick-and-mortar stores at Las Vegas Market

PLANTATION, Fla. — GhostBed, an online mattress retailer and manufacturer of boxed beds, will introduce a five-model mattress program targeted for brick-and-mortar retailers at next month’s Las Vegas Market, its first wholesale line since the brand was launched by parent Nature’s Sleep in 2015.

The new line-up will range in price from $799 to $3,999 for queen sizes. The opening-price-point model is the GhostBed Chill, with a 10-inch profile, a cover made of Ghost Ice, the company’s proprietary cool-to-the-touch fabric and a gel memory foam layer. Other models include 12-inche GhostBed Original, which, among other things, features a layer of Ghost Bounce, the company’s proprietary material that contours to the body like memory foam; the GhostBed Performance hybrid model; the GhostBed Grande (layers of gel memory foam, Ghost Ice and Ghost Bounce latex); and GhostBed Dimensions, another hybrid, with three-dimensional polymer technology and layers of matrix gel, gel memory foam, a Caliber Edge innerspring coil and more.

“The brick-and-mortar collection is designed to increase consumer traffic in retail showrooms” and “provide retailers the opportunity to take advantage of the brand’s multimillion-dollar-per-year investment in advertising and the over 1.5 million monthly visitors to GhostBed’s website, many of whom are seeking out local retailers which carry the products.,” the company said in a release.

“This collection will leverage what we have learned about consumers’ shopping behavior during the pandemic,” said Alan Hirschhorn, executive vice president of sales. “While many consumers have embraced online shopping, we still believe that the best way to find the right mattress is to go to a retail location with trained, knowledgeable sales associates and experience the product firsthand.”

He said the new line will give retailers premium designed GhostBeds with support and shipping capabilities of a direct-to-consumer brand, “but better.”

“Our retailers will now have the option to ship direct-to-consumer utilize our shipping abilities or allow customers to take their bed-in-a box with them on the day of purchase,” Hirschhorn said.

Each brick-and-mortar retailer can select from a variety of models with different features and benefits allowing the store to differentiate its offering from that of competing online retailers. The covers are all cool to the touch and are made at a higher gram weight, thus making them more durable.

GhostBed was launched on the e-commerce channel in 2015 by Marc Werner, founder and CEO of Nature’s Sleep, with a bed-in-a-box model. Since then, the brand has expanded to include the GhostBed Luxe, with core and surface technology designed to keep the mattress cool all night long; and the GhostBed Flex hybrid model, which combines memory foam and a spirited edge innerspring coil unit with a reinforced edge.

GhostBed’s World Market Center showroom is located at B-980.

GhostBed said it ships in 24 hours from 15 coast-to-coast distribution points in the U.S. and two distribution points in Canada.
