Moves aim to bolster company’s marketing, product development and merchandising efforts
HIGH POINT – Upholstery resource Kuka Home has announced several promotions and new hires aimed at bolstering its merchandising and marketing efforts.
Christina Morrison, previously senior marketing manager, has been named director of marketing, a promotion that recognizes her achievements in establishing the company’s marketing presence in the U.S. since 2020.

In addition to directing the company’s North American marketing strategy, she oversees a growing team and manages all aspects of the company’s marketing efforts including brand strategy, campaigns, retail marketing, showroom presentation, customer engagement initiatives and public relations, the company said.
She reports to Matt Harrison, president, who noted, “Over the past four years, Christina has been a major influence in steering our marketing efforts to place Kuka Home prominently in the furniture industry. I am extremely proud of the leadership and impact she has brought to Kuka, which led to her promotion.”

The company also has promoted Jessica Marley to senior marketing coordinator. She has been with Kuka Home since 2022 as marketing coordinator and reports to Morrison. The company said that in addition to enhancing showroom presentation, she has supported marketing and merchandising efforts for national retail accounts.
“Jessica brings great energy, creativity and follow-through to every project,” Morrison said. “Her design background has strengthened our showroom merchandising and photo-shoot direction, and she’s quickly built strong relationships with our retail partners. We’re lucky to have her on the team.”

Also in the marketing department, the company has hired Jessica Best Jones as channel marketing manager, a new position. She comes to the company from Hanesbrands Inc., where officials said she led product and brand marketing initiatives across multiple national retail accounts.
Reporting to Morrison, she will be responsible for developing and executing annual marketing plans designed for key national retail partners and also oversee omnichannel campaigns, lead digital strategy, manage private-label programs and “drive influencer and social media efforts to enhance Kuka Home’s brand visibility and consumer engagement.”
“We’re excited to welcome Jessica to the Kuka Home team,” Morrison said. “Her well-rounded experience in retail and brand marketing makes her a strong addition to our growing department. She brings fresh perspective and a strategic skill set to help us elevate our retail partnerships and connect more meaningfully with today’s consumers.”

And as previously reported in Home News Now, the company also has promoted Mary Ballard to senior director of merchandising. The company said that since joining the organization, she has supported its product direction with “emerging trends and retailer needs.”
Reporting to Sergio Barrios, executive vice president of merchandising and product development, she leads design forecasting, showroom planning and merchandising execution across the company’s collections.
“Mary has brought invaluable insight and creativity to our merchandising efforts since joining Kuka Home,” Harrison said. “Her ability to support strategic product direction while enhancing the visual presentation of our line has made a clear impact on our growth. This promotion reflects the tremendous value she brings to our team.”
