1 of Southeast Asia’s largest furniture shows covers more than 1 million square feet of exhibition space in 2 venues in Kuala Lumpur
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — The 32nd edition of the annual Malaysian International Furniture Fair will take place March 4-7 at the Malaysian International Trade & Exhibition Center and the World Trade Center here.
Covering more than 1 million square feet in 17 halls at the two facilities, the event will showcase a wide mix of product from more than 700 exhibitors that include furniture and bedding manufacturers from in and outside of Malaysia.
The Malaysian manufacturers in particular offer value-priced case goods, motion and stationary upholstery and mattresses produced at some of the country’s largest manufacturing facilities.
Manufacturers from China, Vietnam and other parts of Asia also have had a presence at the event over the years given its broad appeal to buyers from around the world.
As with previous editions, the show is expected to draw more than 20,000 buyers from more than 140 countries and regions, making it one of the largest shows of the winter Asian show circuit.
“This year’s MIFF marks more than 30 years of global industry trust for an event with proven sales performance and a consistent track record of connecting global buyers and sellers to deliver real business opportunities,” said Kelie Lim, general manager of MIFF. “It has also provided unmatched international exposure for brands seeking to grow beyond borders, celebrates heritage craftsmanship and champions new design trends and technologies.”
According to show officials, last year’s event generated about $1.31 billion in orders placed at the show, up 3% from 2024. With about 80% of its production shipped to markets outside Malaysia, the industry continues to be a major force in the country’s economy generating an estimated $4.2 billion annually, “due to its world-class export infrastructure, its skilled workforce, its strategic location and its multicultural business environment.”
“By connecting global buyers with the country’s manufacturing excellence via networking sessions, seminars and other business-related initiatives, MIFF continues to drive exports and reinforce the country’s position in the international market.”
