MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Industry veteran Adam Tilley has been promoted to president of Hooker Branded, a division of the company that produces imported case goods and upholstery.

He joined the company this past May as president of its Pulaski and Samuel Lawrence Furniture divisions, which are in the process of being sold to Magnussen Home.
Before joining Hooker Furnishings, he was chief product officer at Magnussen and president of its Thirty One | Twenty One division.
He also was previously president of Stanley Furniture and before that also was vice president of product management at Stanley.
Earlier in his career, he was director of merchandising at Thomasville Furniture and before that was a sales representative for Henredon and also was in sales management at retailer Robb & Stucky.
Hooker Branded is the company’s largest division, with a reported $36.3 million in sales, or just over 44% of the company’s consolidated sales for its second quarter ended Aug. 3.
In his new position, Tilley reports to Jeremy Hoff, CEO of Hooker Furnishings.
“Adam brings extensive expertise and insight to this new role,” Hoff said. “His experience in product development, operations and leading multiple brands positions him perfectly to help drive the company’s strategic focus on growth, alignment and organizational strength, all of which are critical to our continued success.”
Tilley’s deep knowledge of the company’s operations ensures a smooth transition and continued focus on executing strategic priorities, he added.
“I’m honored to serve as president of Hooker Branded, part of an amazing company with an unmatched reputation and a long history of excellence,” Tilley said. “I look forward to building on this strong foundation as we continue delivering exceptional quality and value to our customers.”
