Stitch Seating launches motion sleeper category at market

HIGH POINT — Upholstery resource Stitch Seating is launching its newest innovation in the seating category this market with a new motion sleeper that is part of its 15-piece Ramey collection.

The collection includes four sofa-sleepers with two different arm styles, including a slope and track arm.

Two of these feature a power motion mechanism that transforms the sofa to a sleeper with the touch of a button. The non-power sleepers retail at $1,999 and $2,299 featuring a Crypton fabric, while the power sleepers retail at $2,399 and $2,699 featuring Crypton fabric.

“This innovation brings exceptional ease and versatility to any environment,” the company said. “Whether furnishing a guest room, hospitality suite or urban loft, the power sleeper mechanism offers an unmatched user experience.”

The Ramey collection also includes stationary seating with individual sofas, loveseats, chairs and sectionals, plus two sectionals, a stationary version and a version with a sleeper unit. The stationary and motion pieces in the collection are available in about 20 different fabrics total, including two domestic fabric options, Crypton and David Rothschild.

“We are thrilled to bring this next generation of sleeper-sofas and coordinating pieces to market,” said Steve Heckenlaible, president of Stitch Seating. “By blending world-class American-made fabrics, American craftsmanship and a revolutionary power mechanism, we’re delivering a product that not only elevates interiors but redefines the standards of comfort and convenience.”

The pieces are made in MooreCo’s estimated 175,000-square-foot plant in Morristown, Tennessee. Combined with the domestic fabrics, the partnership with the factory gives the collection a U.S. manufacturing story in an environment largely dominated by imports and related tariffs.

With lead times estimated around two weeks for custom orders, the company is expecting to begin production at market, meaning that orders can be shipped well before the holiday season.

At the October market, the Stitch Seating line can be seen in Space 208 of Centers of High Point, Hamilton.
