Mix will include about 30 SKUs of bedroom, dining and occasional available in multiple finishes and North American hardwood species
SUGAR CREEK, Ohio — Field & Stream magazine has announced a new licensing partnership with U.S. wood furniture manufacturer Urban Barnwood Furniture for a collection of bedroom, dining and occasional to be unveiled at the October High Point Market.
The expanded Field & Stream Home collection will include a mix of bedroom, dining and occasional furniture made from reclaimed barn wood and other North American hardwood species in Urban Barnwood’s Amish workshop in Sugarcreek, Ohio. At market, Urban Barnwood will debut the line at its showroom in Space 309-310 in the Atrium on Main building at 430 S. Main St. in High Point.
The company works with a variety of wood species including oak, rustic hickory, walnut and white oak, re-milling the lumber and using what it describes as “precise woodworking techniques to ensure consistently made furniture that is both durable and beautiful.”
This is Field & Stream’s second licensing partnership with a furniture company, following last October’s launch of its licensed upholstery line with manufacturer Best Home Furnishings.
“When seeking a partner to expand our successful, expanding Field & Stream Home collection, we again sought a company with shared core values: family, community, tradition, storytelling and stewardship,” said Doug McNamee, president of Field & Stream. “These wood furniture products are built new but tell a story that goes back centuries and are a tribute to the cherished memories our readers create, both in the outdoors and around the warmth of family gatherings. Urban Barnwood understands the importance of providing customers with high-quality, custom furniture that they can cherish for generations to come.”
The dining part of the line will include round and rectangular tables available in different sizes. Complementary dining chairs will feature exclusive Field & Stream fabrics and leathers from the upholstered furniture collection manufactured by Best Home Furnishings. The two dining collections will be available in three finishes.
The bedroom collection will feature two styles of beds along with companion case goods, all featuring rustic design elements. Both bedroom collections also will be available in three finishes.
Dating back to 1871, Field & Stream has had generations of loyal readers drawn to its core hunting, fishing and camping content, while also promoting the conservation of wildlife, wildlife habitats and our nation’s natural resources.
In 2024, acclaimed singer-songwriters Eric Church and Morgan Wallen, along with a group of other investors with experience in brand building, acquired and relaunched Field & Stream, “unifying this legacy brand for the first time in its history. Now embarking on a new chapter, the next generation of Field & Stream includes a best-in-class, outdoor-lifestyle media platform, a return to a print publication, a membership community, a wide variety of co-branded and licensed product lines, plus experiential brand extensions including a modern and affordable lifestyle lodge concept.”
