HIGH POINT — Science in Design has announced that acclaimed wellness and design expert Jennifer Walsh will deliver the keynote address at When Design Heals: How Interior Design Shapes Health, taking place Oct. 24 at Congdon Yards during the October High Point Market.
A trailblazer at the intersection of beauty, nature and neuroscience, Jennifer brings a wealth of experience and insight to the event. She serves as a strategic adviser at the Penn Center for Neuroaesthetics (University of Pennsylvania) and as a faculty adviser at the Brain Health Initiative at Harvard University. Her thought leadership has been featured in The New York Times, Entrepreneur Magazine and other prominent media.

Her keynote, titled “The Biophilic Brain: How Beauty and Biophilia Impact Brain Health,” will explore the profound impact of nature and beauty on our mental and physical well-being. “We will explore how beauty, biophilia and neuroscience come together to prove that good design doesn’t just look good — it does good,” she said. “The beauty of nature and fine design is essential to our health.”
Walsh will also introduce her groundbreaking new initiative, Natural Intelligence for Women: A Revolutionary Leadership Program, which empowers women to lead with authenticity, resilience and connection to natural wisdom. The program highlights beauty as a daily practice, the health benefits of biophilic environments and the transformative power of neuroaesthetics.
