Level Up Home names 3 industry veterans to leadership team

Ruff Thomas is VP of sales, Donna Holcomb is VP of customer experience and Gidget Simmons Potts is national sales manager for rent-to-own segment

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Level Up Home, which is relaunching the Simmons upholstery brand, has hired three industry professionals to new positions at the company, handling key roles including sales and customer service and support.

Ruff Thomas

Ruff Thomas has joined Simmons Upholstery as vice president of sales, a role in which he will manage and direct the sales organization.

Thomas has more than 20 years of upholstery industry leadership experience and was most recently vice president of sales at upholstery resource Henglin Home. Before this, he was president of sales at Lane Home Furnishings and before this was national sales manager. He also was previously a sales representative for key accounts at American Furniture Manufacturing Inc. and a territory sales manager for Phillip Morris USA.

Donna Holcomb

Donna Holcomb is joining the company as vice president of customer experience, a role in which she will be responsible for managing the order process, including order entry, status and shipping along with parts fulfillment.

She has 25 years of industry experience, with a focus on customer care and service. She also comes to the company from Henglin Home, where she was director of customer care. Before this, she was director of customer care at Lane and also was a sales service representative at American Furniture Manufacturing.

Both Thomas and Holcomb report to Jay Quimby, chief executive officer.

Gidget Simmons Potts

Gidget Simmons Potts, who also has more than 20 years of industry experience, has joined the company as national sales manager for the rent-to-own segment. She will manage all rent-to-own customer sales and buying groups. She reports to Thomas.

Quimby said he is pleased to welcome these professionals to the Level Up Home team.

“Ruff, Donna and Gidget are all very talented and tenured home furnishings veterans,” he said. “They all have a common trait of being very focused on the customer experience. We are extremely excited to have them on our leadership team and look forward to watching them grow and their impact in their respective roles in the organization.”
