Memorial Day sales offer consumers compelling deals, values

As our communities commemorate the sacrifices made by our armed forces this holiday weekend, furniture stores around the country are honoring those heroes as well by passing along major savings to consumers in their respective markets. In traditional fashion, they have invested in significant marketing campaigns that aim to drive both foot traffic and sales for their stores. Some continue to promote deals in print flyers and TV ads, which continue to get some of the most attention from consumers. But others also continue to invest in their websites, offering an easy-to-shop format that allows shoppers to not only see the major discounts to be had, but also to shop entire categories and purchase either in-store or online.

Below is a glimpse of some of the ads that caught our eye from large and smaller retailers alike with more details on what each promotion had to offer across categories ranging from bedroom and dining to living room, accents, accessories and bedding. Let the shopping begin!

An ad that ran as the main art with this story also has photos of area veterans and heroes that are part of the communities it serves. It’s a nice way to remember what the holiday weekend is really about.
