In this fifth and final installment of Consumer Insights Now, sponsored by American First Finance, we look at the customer for higher end furniture. A key takeaway is that these furniture shoppers are generally middle-aged or older (older millennials, Generation X and baby boomers) and have higher incomes ($100,000 or more). Most also plan to buy through brick-and-mortar furniture stores.
The survey also offers insights into what these consumers plan to purchase and how much they plan to spend on different items such as a sofa, a bedroom suite or a casual or formal dining set. And it looks at who plans to use a designer this year, while providing some first-hand commentary on what is motivating their desire to do so.
