Jordan’s Furniture donates $50K to Boston Children’s Hospital

BOSTON — Jordan’s Furniture has donated $50,000 to Boston Children’s Hospital that will go directly to the needs of families with children who are patients of the hospital. This significant gift comes from the Jordan’s Furniture Charitable Foundation, an officially registered 501c3 charity.

The mission of the Foundation is to support local children and families in need. There was a check presentation on Dec 3, 2024 in recognition of “Giving Tuesday” inside the Jordan’s Avon store at The Enchanted Village.

“We are so proud to make this donation to Boston Children’s Hospital.”, said Josh Tatelman, co-CEO of Jordan’s Furniture. “Philanthropy has always been a big part of our business but now through the Jordan’s Foundation, we are able to make significant financial donations that will directly impact area families and children. We cannot think of a better partner than Boston Children’s.”

Jordan’s gift will go toward The Extraordinary Needs Fund and The Every Child Fund at Boston Children’s. The Extraordinary Needs Fund addresses patient families’ urgent financial needs such as temporary housing during long hospital stays, food, transportation, and other life essentials. Donations to The Every Child Fund go directly where they are most urgently needed and can touch every aspect of Boston Children’s four-part mission—research, care, community health and education.

“The generosity of Jordan’s Furniture will directly help patients and families looking for lifesaving answers,” says Michael Barnhorst, Vice President, Corporate Development, Leadership Giving & Special Events at Boston Children’s Hospital Trust. “So often, families come to Boston Children’s as the last hope to hear their child. This support will help ease patients’ burden. We’re so grateful for organizations like Jordan’s Furniture who provide crucial support.”

In addition to the donation to Boston Children’s, the Jordan’s Foundation also gifted funds to Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital in CT, Hasbro Children’s Hospital in RI, Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in ME, CT Children’s Hospital, and Dartmouth Children’s Hospital in NH. The “Giving Tuesday” donations from the Jordan’s Charitable Foundation total $175,000 to area Pediatric Hospitals.
