Bernards promotes Joan Flight to vice president, customer service and operations

GREENSBORO, N.C. —  Full-line furniture resource Bernards Inc. has promoted Joan Flight to vice president, customer service and operations, a new position.

Flight has been with the company for 24 years, having most recently served as director, operations.

The company said that she “has been an been an integral component in our company’s and each team member’s success. Mrs. Flight began her career at Bernards as customer pick-up coordinator and over the years has held multiple positions, learning the business inside and out.”

In her new position, she reports to Micah Swick, president.

“I cannot think of one individual who has not benefited significantly benefited from her experience and knowledge, not excluding, and perhaps especially, myself,” Swick said. “Her promotion is well-deserved and long overdue. In world where job hopping is in vogue, Joan’s career demonstrates the positive impacts of long tenure and dedication for both, the individual , and the business.”
