by LILONGWE, Malawi — On July 15, Blockbuster Mega Store celebrated the opening of its new 517-sq.-m. (5,000-square-foot) Ashley Furniture HomeStore showroom located in the Gateway Mall, Area 47 Section 1, Lilongwe, Malawi. This is the first Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Lilongwe.
Blockbuster owns one additional Ashley Furniture HomeStore in the surrounding region. The Lilongwe store will employ approximately 10 people. Ashley Furniture HomeStore has more than 1,100 locations worldwide.

The store’s interior architectural design includes open floor plan, modern lighting, greenery, room settings, unique finishes, with brand storytelling. The showroom features complete lifestyle vignettes, down to the final detail of accessories, rugs and wall art. Product categories include bedroom, dining room, upholstery, leather, occasional tables, home office, recliners, mattresses and accessories.
