Outdura celebrates 293 years of combined employee service

HUDSON, N.C. – Sattler Outdura, manufacturer of solution-dyed acrylic woven outdoor fabrics made in the historic Hudson Cotton Mill, recently celebrated 293 years of combined employees’ service with an awards event in their corporate headquarters.

“We are very proud of our employees, their dedication to Outdura and the extra effort that they contribute to make Outdura fabrics an outstanding product,” said Charles Wilson, director of operations. “At this years’ holiday service award luncheon, we honored three retirees and 15 employees for their years of service ranging from an incredible 48 years to five years. We enjoyed a catered lunch in small ‘COVID-friendly’ groups at well-spaced tables. We look forward to another successful year in 2021 when we can return to a more festive celebration and can all be together.”

The 25 years of service recognition was received by Lisa Buckner, Betty Cottrell and Marcus Foster. Celebrating 20 years of service was Brenda Harrison and the 15 years of service distinction went to Teresa Buchanan, Bobby Lail, Joseph Santaloci and Andy Yang. The 10-year service awards were received by Derrick Crump and Elizabeth Triplett while Deborah Annas, Trish Bradshaw, Mitchell Dean, Kelly Keller and Lindsay Thacker all celebrated five years at Outdura. Retiring from Outdura are Grady Mangum after 48 years, Kathy Norris after 28 years and Eddy Turner after 17 years of service.
