by MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Industry veteran Mark Cowan has been named vice president of sales at Hooker Furnishings.
He brings 34 years of experience to the company in sales and other executive-level positions he has held dating back to 1992.
He was most recently vice president of sales for residential case goods at Bernhardt Furniture. Before this, he was vice president of sales for the Eastern region and vice president of sales for the central region at Universal Furniture.
Before joining Universal, he was president in account management, business development and B2B marketing specialist at Cowan & Co. and before this was vice president of America’s Furniture Brands.
Earlier in his career, he was a senior account executive for Lane Furniture Industries for more than 18 years.
