Sunpan opens new office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam — Global furniture brand Sunpan announced the opening of its Vietnam office in Ho Chi Minh City, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth, as it establishes a headquarters for its Asia operations.

The new office further expands Sunpan’s footprint on the continent and reflects the company’s commitment to liaising with manufacturing and supplier partners across the region. The Vietnam team will collaborate closely with the Toronto head office to better align product development and production oversight.

“Our Vietnam office strengthens product development and quality oversight, shortens development cycles and builds closer partnerships with suppliers,” said Fion Ho, director of product development at Sunpan. “Having a local, expert team on the ground ensures accountability, supports the supply chain and fosters stronger, more collaborative relationships.”

As Sunpan’s Asia headquarters, the Vietnam office serves as a key hub for product development and sourcing. The team works directly with manufacturing partners to strengthen onsite production management and accelerate development timelines, enabling more efficient progression from initial concept to final production.

The Vietnam office is also responsible for quality control and compliance and is expanding its capabilities in line with business growth. Sunpan will be hiring additional technical designers and materials specialists to embed expertise more deeply within its production network.

“Our Asia headquarters in Vietnam represents an important investment,” said Sangeeta Dulall, director of people and culture at Sunpan. “Having a permanent presence in the region allows us to build a strong local team and enable a more consistent and efficient operation overall to support Sunpan’s future growth.”

Sunpan currently operates a global network that supports its trade partners worldwide. In addition to its Asia headquarters in Vietnam, it maintains a head office in Toronto, alongside warehouses in Houston and Toronto, and showrooms in High Point, Toronto and Las Vegas. The company works with over 40 manufacturing partners across nine countries.

Looking ahead, the company plans to continue strengthening its Asia operations as part of a broader global strategy.
